Many people made their fortunes investing in real estate. I can admit that I can clearly see why from the chart above. In my opinion, real estate is a good investment tool that allows you to leverage your money, grow wealth, and grow old in it. Some say “I don’t want to buy at the peak”. I totally get that. The question would be, will you want to hold it long term or sell it in few years once you own it?

From the chart, San Francisco Bay Area real estate seems to have bounced back quickly after the Great Recession in 2008. The lack of supply and strong demand are the main contributing factor in the price push.  With an influx of population, and continued lack of supply of housing, I do not see the median price dropping in the near future.
